General Info

Auditions for the 2024/25 seasion will be held in early August, date TBD.  Please contact us to let us know you would like to be scheduled an audition.  BlueStreet rehearses on Tuesday evenings from 7 - 9:30 in S. Shoreline/NE Seattle.  We have a Saturday rehearsal on the average of once a month.  We perform a major concert every quarter and have a few smaller events at high schools, retirement communities and private events sprinkled throughout the season.

What we look for

Experienced singers who can read music, have previous choral experience, can blend, as well as learn and practice music on their own.

the audition process

The audition typically takes about 20 minutes. We ask you to prepare a jazz standard to perform before a small committee.  You will have a private run through of your song with our accompanist before you will perform.  Please bring the sheet music of your song in your needed key for our accompanist to use during the audition.  Our director will check your vocal part, ability to sight read at a basic level, run you through a scale or two (think chromatic) and ask a few questions.   There will also be a short interview giving you a chance to ask us questions as well.  

Our auditions are geared toward both parties getting to know each other.
